In an inspiring display of creativity and community spirit, Momentum Technology partnered with
Move For Hunger to bring an innovative and impactful event to Bell Works in Holmdel, New Jersey. The event, known as
ArCANtecture, took place on August 17, transforming the venue into a hub of creativity, teamwork, and philanthropy to support a noble cause.
ArCANtecture is not your average team-building event. It challenges participants to think outside the box—or, in this case, the can—to construct impressive structures entirely out of canned foods. This event fosters creativity and collaboration and
all the non-perishable food items used are donated to support those in need. For this particular event, donations were directed to Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties to fight hunger int he local community.
The competition was fierce, with participants from various teams putting their architectural and design skills to the test. The structures were evaluated on their creativity, the volume of food utilized, and the stability of their construction, and the showcase of remarkable canned creations were judged in three different categories:
Best Architects:
Alexander (8) and Nicholas (5) stole the show with their imaginative "Castle" design, proving that age is just a number when it comes to innovation.
Most Creative:
The Fortis Agency Team captivated the judges with their "Yurt" and inventive spirit.
Best Overall:
The LTA Apparel Team's "Lighthouse" shone the brightest, earning them top honors for their outstanding combination of form and function.
Momentum Technology's sponsorship was pivotal in making the ArCANtecture
event a success, demonstrating their commitment to community and social responsibility. Special thanks were also extended to Lowy’s Moving Service for transporting the donations, ensuring that the event's impact reached far beyond the day itself.
The event was further supported by local businesses and organizations, including Bell Works and its staff, Booskerdoo for donating gift cards as prizes, and ShopRite of Hazlet, whose managers Steve Billie, Bill Miranda, Robert Kryston, and their team played a crucial role in the event's success. Their collective efforts underscored the power of community collaboration in making a difference.
Adding to their impressive track record of community service, our team partnered with Move For Hunger at the end of last year, culminating in a monumental achievement. Together, we were able to provide
63,000 meals
to the hungry and food insecure. This accomplishment just underscores our belief that small teams can make a big
difference when they work together. We are incredibly proud of the difference we’re making, showcasing the profound impact of collaborative efforts toward a common goal.
The ArCANtecture
event at Bell Works was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the collective effort to combat hunger. It highlighted how innovative events can bring people together to support a vital cause, leaving a lasting impact on the community and those in need. We're looking forward to more events like ArCANtecture, where fun meets philanthropy and creativity sparks change!
